Join us Saturday, December 6, at 2pm in front of the UNM Bookstore, 2301 Central Ave. NE for a protest and rally to say, “No war against Venezuela!” The U. S. Government has been trying to overthrow the elected President of Venezuela for more than 20 years, first Hugo Chávez Frías then Nicolas Maduro. It hasn’t mattered which corporate party had the White House. Venezuela has held a mirror up to hypocritical and emperialistic U. S. Foreign policy and, therefore, must be punished. Whereas previous president’s might have wanted to appear like their hands were clean, Trump seems to delight in the thought of invading another country. The brazen war crimes that have been committed for the last three months by the U. S. military even has people in Congress feeling uncomfortable. This may be an important moment to start changing the course of U. S. foreign policy.
