Be Wary of the Strategic Water Supply Act

There will be an attempt by Governor Luján Grisham to get a Strategic Water Supply Act passed in 2025. This is being touted as a way to save fresh water resources. It appears that tens of millions of taxpayer dollars would be used to expand re-use of water contaminated by oil and gas industrial operations. The standards haven’t been created yet, and the proposed act does not account for disposal of residual waste. New Energy Economy has provided an analysis of the draft legislation; download it below.

A Weekend of Protests

It’s a busy holiday weekend for those who care about peace and justice. Join us on Saturday, January 18, at 9:00 a. m. at the intersection of University Blvd. and MLK, Jr. Drive (at UNM) in ABQ for the MLK, Jr. March to Civic Plaza. Look for the green banner.

On Monday, January 20, at 2:00 p. m. at Robinson Park, join various groups in a national day of protest. Green Party will have a speaker at the rally. Look for the green banner.
